surface computing – interactive floor projected video games
08Aug08
I noticed this example of surface computing at Blue Water shopping mall a few months ago, but have yet to capture a video or suitable photos of the device in action.
In summary the interactive projection displays several games which kids interact with to entertain them at several points as they travel around the mall. The games include:
- a soccer pitch with ball you can kick.
- a water pool of koi carp, which you may chase around
- a box of coloured balls you can move, like a virtual ball pit.
Kids love interacting with these things, but the bright lighting in the shopping mall where these are based leaves the designs looking very washed out.
