The true value of Account Planning ?


The true value of Account Planning has finally been quantified and the results are in.

According to Sedo, the internet domain name auction service, the price achieved in an auction this month for was in fact rather on the small side.

While the owner of the domain initially (and with account handler like cheek) asked for US$15,000. The true value emerged from the auction at a more modest US$425.00.

Given the commission the previous owner will have had to pay Sedo for the sale, you have to hope the new owner understands the value of their prize a little better. Perhaps Russell Davies or John Griffiths will emerge as the winner of the bidding? We shall find out shortly.

Somehow I doubt Sedo understand how to engage the relevant target audience in the sale of such an item. They appear to hope people will drop by and notice something potentially valuable by chance. Now there’s a client who really requires a planner to go and present an idea to them. Any takers?
