G.K. Chesterton quote applied to brand building

“There is a great deal of difference between an eager man who wants to read a book and the tired man who wants a book to read.”

– G.K. Chesterton

I wonder if this idea could apply to brands? Perhaps something along the lines of:

“There is a great deal of difference between an eager marketing director who wants to build their brand and the tired marketing director who wants their brand to build.”
